At what age can you start consuming Oatly?

Oatly plain drinks can be used in cooking for most babies over 6 months of age. Normally, Oatly is suitable as a main drink after 2 years of age, however, following a dietetic assessment it may be decided that it is suitable after 1 year of age.

If you want further information The British Dietetic Association give useful information here. If you have further specific questions we suggest you discuss these with your healthcare professional.

  • My 6 month old has a suspected Cow’s Milk allergy so I have eliminated this from our diets, can I use Oatly for cooking in place of cow’s milk (for example for porridge)?
    Emma
  • Hi Emma,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

Yes - you can absolutely use our oat drink for cooking or baking! You can use the oat drink in the exact same way as you would with cow's milk. Simply replace the cow's milk with the same quantity of our oat drink in the recipe.

Good luck with your oatsome cooking!

    All the best,
    Marsali
