Do you sell junior (250ml) cartons in the UK?

Unfortunately our smaller (250ml) oat drink cartons are not available in the UK at the moment. The reason for this is that we're amending our packaging to replace the previous plastic straw with a sustainable alternative. The new design will therefore be in line with the new ban on single-use plastic in the UK.

We've received a lot of requests for these smaller cartons so we're aware of the demand for them, and we hope to see these smaller cartons in the future!

In the meantime, if you’re finding that you’re not able to use the full amount of our 1L oat drink cartons, our products are also fine to freeze and can be used in cooking too.

  • Great that you are replacing the straw but such a shame that I can't buy these for my 4 year old so that he can have a milk drink at school when his friends are having the provided cows milk.

  • Hi Octavia,

We hear you! I'll put another vote on the wish list. Fingers crossed it won't take long.

Meanwhile waiting, maybe you can consider sending your son to school with a reusable thermos mug filled with oat drink. Just a thought!

    Wishing you an Oatsome Day,
  • Hi any news on when the small cartons will be coming to the UK? Alpro have been selling small cartons as long as I can remember. Surely being environmentally friendly is the vegan way and Oatly should already have been thinking about the plastic straw situation long before the law came in? I too would like to provide an Oatly drink to my child while other children are having their cow milk, but until this is available we have no choice but to purchase the mini Alpro cartons.
  • So if we open the bottle (1ltr) and decent the drunk we can then freeze it? I was concerned that once opened it would an issue to then freeze it!

  • Hi all!

At the moment, we are testing out some new straw alternatives! So hopefully they will be returning to the UK soon. Keep an eye on our social channels and website for any updates on our products.

Yes, all of our oat drinks can be frozen! Although our oat drinks are totally freezable, sometimes the texture can be impacted so it’s good to always give it a stir once thawed. We also don’t recommend refreezing after it’s be thawed out for the first time - so decanting the oat drink into smaller containers is definitely the way to go!

    I hope this helps!

    All the best,
  • I would like them too, for taking to music festivals. I can use one mini carton a day no problem, but taking a big carton and opening it on the first day means it won’t last in a tent without a fridge!

The barista oatly is my favourite, will it also be available in smaller cartons?

Hoping the small cartons will be back in the UK in time for Glastonbury 2022 🤞
  • Hi Rebekah,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us!

We will make sure to pass your wishes along to our Product Developers. Hopefully, both our Junior Oat Drink and mini Barista Edition can make their way over here to the UK in the not too distant future.

Stay safe and have an oatsome weekend!

    All the best,
