Vitamin B12

Hi Oatly-Team,

I’d like to know which form of vitamin b12 you use for your Oatly products.
Do you use cyanocobalamin, hydroxocobalamin, methylcobalamin or adenosylcobalamin

Thank you in advance and best regards!

  • Hi Rouven,

Thanks for getting in touch! The B12 we use is cyanocobalamin, which is produced by microbial fermentation of corn steep liquor, maltose and glucose.

If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to contact us again.

    All the best,
    Rowena
  • FYI - people with MTHFR generally can't tolerate cyanocobalamin. It's a pretty common genetic disorder. I love your product but can't really drink it unless you have a methylated cobalamin like methyl, adeno or hydroxy (I would bet $ the person above was asking for the same reason)
