What’s the difference between your chilled oat drink and the one with long shelf life?

Our enriched oat drink comes in two different packages. The one with flat top is packed aseptically with an inner ‘ring pull seal’ allowing a shelf life of up to one year in room temperature until opened. Our chilled version has a screw cap only and a shorter shelf life. Both should stay fresh for at least 5 days in the fridge once opened.

They have the exact same content and some prefer the ambient version because of the convenience of storage, while others prefer the chilled as it comes in a more user friendly carton. That’s why we hang on to both!

  • We didn’t know there were different types and have stored a chilled version, unopened in a cupboard and not chilled, is it still ok to use?

  • Hi Mick,

Thank you for your message. We do have 2 versions, the chilled and ambient oat drink. The chilled version needs to be kept in the refrigerator and used within 5 days of opening.

For future reference the way to tell the difference is not only where they are placed in the supermarket but also the top of the bottle as the ambient version has a flat top.

I hope we have helped. If you have any questions please do let us know!

    All the best,
