Why can’t I find some of your products anymore?

Since the demand for our products is rapidly increasing, we are expanding our facilities with more production lines. Unfortunately, we have had some issues that have limited our production capacity. Many of you have probably noticed that we’ve had problems keeping up with our usual delivery rate for our Barista Edition oat drink and this is the reason for it.

We’re very sorry that we haven’t been able to offer this product for a while, and we do understand the disappointment you may feel. But don’t worry – it will be back!

In order for us to get back to full production capacity, we’ve decided to temporarily pause the production of a few products, such as our Orange Mango oat drink. This so that we can focus on supplying more of our popular Barista Edition oat drink.

We sincerely hope this will speed up the return to a normal delivery rate for all of our products during 2019.

  • Please let me know when the Barista is back - and also notify Irish retailers?

  • Hi Ann,

Thanks for reaching out! We are so sorry that you are not able to find our Barista edition oat drink at the moment, however it will be back soon so do keep an eye out for it. We are working hard to keep up with demand and hopefully any supply issues will be eased with the expansion of our manufacturing lines.

    All the best,
  • Hi there - I can't seem to locate your Oatly Creme Fraiche anywhere in Northern Ireland, is it just a demand issue? or has the product been removed?
  • Hi Debbie,

I am sorry that you haven't been able to find our Creamy Oat Fraiche in your local area. But good news - it has not been removed! Hopefully as our manufacturing capabilities increase, you will be able to find it again soon.

    All the best
  • Why oh why can't we buy online you have so many products that I have never seen. I resently went to End of the road where you had a stand my whole family have now been converted but struggling to find supplies HELP
Ice cream would be amazing to try
  • Hi Becky,

It's wonderful that you're excited to try more of our products - we're excited for you to try them too! We are planning to increase our range of products available in the UK soon so do keep an eye out for them.

    All the best
  • Why is the Barista edition more important than the Orange Mango? My son is 5 and loves your Orange Mango drink (he has allergies to cows milk and soya) and has been extremely upset that we can't get his favourite flavour anywhere! Also it would be great if you did mini cartons of the normal oatly that he could take to school so that he can be like all the other children who have milk provided by school.
  • Hi Kate,

I am sorry that your son is not able to find his favourite flavour at the moment. We are focusing on the production of our barista oat drink as it is currently more popular than our orange mango oat drink. However, once we get back on track with our manufacturing, hopefully it will be possible to find all of our products as normal.

I completely understand the need for smaller cartons of oat drink. We do make 250ml junior sized cartons, however these are not yet available in the UK. We are excited to launch them as soon as possible though so do keep an eye out for them.

    All the best
  • Hi,
I would just like to give a little feedback regards your new Oatly Whippable Vanilla Custard.
I used to buy this all the time for my two dairy allergic grandsons.  They loved it.
However, I’m afraid I won’t be buying it anymore :o(
Even once whipped (which is a pain when you have been used to just pouring it straight from the carton) it is VERY runny.
My two grandsons made a heck of a mess with it!
So I’m afraid your quote on the carton “this one will fluff up in ways the old one never could….”  Is actually misleading and incorrect.
I would be interested to know why you have changed it?
Can we have the old version back please?!

  • Hi there,

Thank you for your feedback, it's very valuable to us. I am sorry to hear you are disappointed with our new recipe, we don't take any changes very lightly at all.
We are slowly phasing out palm oil from our products, this has been done to both our oat fraiche and now our custard. We are very aware of the problematic situation with palm oil production and therefore used certified, traceable palm oil, however, we strongly oppose the deforestation and exploitation that occur in the production of palm oil.

We have chosen to use a blend of fully hydrogenated rapeseed and coconut oil instead. Our focus is on minimising the amount of undesired substances while keeping the amount of saturated fat as low as possible as well as evaluating various fats from a sustainability perspective.

I hope this explains that we take any changes in recipes very seriously and we are trying to do our best for both our health and the planet.

I do though apologise for any inconvenience caused to you and your grandsons and are sorry to have disappointed you. We are launching a new range of ice creams at the end of this month. Perhaps they might like those as an alternative sweet treat.

    All the best,
  • Hi Katie.
Thank you for your reply. I totally support your reasons behind this decision. Trying to help our health and planet is always a good thing. It’s such a shame it doesn’t keep the nice old thick consistency though. You may want to rethink calling it “whippable” as sadly it really isn’t. We look forward to trying the new ice creams 👍🏻 Best regards CM

  • Hello,

I'm really pleased to hear you support our decision. I will certainly pass on your feedback and suggestions regarding the 'whippable' quality of the new recipe.

Please let me know if they do like the new ice creams.

    All the best,
